Summary: Join Alex Prichard, Associate Visual Effects Supervisor, Industrial Light & Magic, as he discusses the Academy Award nominated effects work that went into "Rogue One". Space battles, new planets, "CG Miniatures", a re-programmed Imperial Droid, and a Death Star for good measure, Alex will provide insight into some of the film's biggest challenges and discuss the solutions that brought this new chapter in the Star Wars universe to life.

Alex Prichard, Associate Visual Effect Supervisor, Industrial Light & Magic
Alex Prichard is an Associate Visual Effects Supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic's Singapore studio. Prichard joined Industrial Light & Magic in 2011 and has worked on various Hollywood blockbuster films such as Marvel: The Avengers, Battleship, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Transformers: Age of Extinction, The Great Wall – Yimou Zhang, Warcraft and Star Trek: Into Darkness, where he was nominated for a HPA Award "Outstanding Visual Effects – Feature Film".
Prichard has worked on multiple Star Wars films including, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, where Prichard received a VES Award nomination for "Outstanding Compositing in a Photoreal Feature" for his contribution.
Most recently Prichard played a creative supervision role on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Prichard holds a Bachelor of Fine Art's from The Academy of Art University, located in San Francisco, California.
